ABSOLUTELY! All of our chefs are trained to the highest standards, and we take this very seriously! We can create fantastic dishes to take into account allergies and dietary requirements. Over the years we’ve found that guests beyond the top table are more than happy to receive dishes our chefs have created to suit their needs.
The top table we work with a little more closely, but rest assured, all dishes are up the high standards we have for everything! We find that it works best to build the main menus first, then, when sending out RSVP’s, ask for allergy information and the severity.
| Category | Description | Examples | Action Required |
| A – Severe Allergy (Anaphylaxis / EpiPen) | Life-threatening allergy. Even trace amounts can cause a serious reaction. | Peanuts, shellfish, sesame, severe dairy or egg allergy | We will likely change your entire menu to eradicate any chance of cross contamination. Guests must be clearly identified. |
| B – Allergy (Non-Anaphylactic) | Diagnosed allergy without anaphylaxis. Serious but manageable by avoiding direct consumption. | Dairy, eggs, gluten, soya (non-anaphylactic). Coeliac. | We will note allergens and keep food separate. |
| C – Intolerance | Not an allergy, but still causes discomfort or health impact. Not life-threatening. | Lactose intolerance, gluten sensitivity (not coeliac) | Will be accommodated where possible. May affect menu options for those guests. |
| D – Personal Preference / Lifestyle | Voluntary or religious dietary choice. Not medically required, but must be respected. | Vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, keto | Whilst this will be taken into consideration, minor cross contamination may occur. |
Once your RSVPs are in and you have a final list of all dietary requirements and allergies for the final details call, we’ll tailor your menu accordingly, behind the scenes, ready for the day. Unfortunately, trying to accommodate and list dietaries prior to this is unrealistic as the menus have to change repeatedly as we learn new information from guests, if we try to cover all unknowns, everyone ends up with really bland food!!
Important Legal and Safety Information:
While we work to the highest industry standards and our team is trained in food safety and allergen management, it’s important to note the following:
- We are working in kitchens that are not under our permanent control. This means there is a risk of residual allergen contamination from previous users of the space.
- Although we implement thorough cleaning and food safety practices, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
- Under UK law (Food Information Regulations 2014), for non-prepacked food, we are required to:
- Provide information about the 14 legally recognised allergens, and
- Signpost you to where this information can be accessed.
You (or your guests) can request allergen information:
- In advance, by speaking to us before the event, or
- On the day, by speaking to a trained member of staff, who will confirm details directly with the chef.
We are always happy to discuss individual cases in more detail — your guests’ safety is a priority, and we’re here to support you throughout the planning process.
We ask that you clearly mark on your table plan where guests with specific dietary needs are seated, we’ll take care of the rest.
We cannot accommodate for guests with allergies we are not advised of in advance.
